Since Air France and its subsidiaries are European regulated airlines, travelling with them within Europe or away from Europe will be governed by the European Law. Under EU law, as per Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004, flight passenger is entitled to claim up to 600€ (£450) for delayed or cancelled flights.
This comes into effect only when there is a delay of more than 3 hours or cancelled without any extraordinary circumstances such as bad weather or earthquake or for that matter any natural calamity. In cases, flight getting delayed by 2 ½ hours from the scheduled arrival time and it lands on the airport but doesn’t open the door to alight causing a further delay of 30 mins, you can claim compensation from the airlines as it amounts to 3 hours delay in total.

EC Regulation 261/2004
EC Regulation 261/2004 (dated 17 February 2005) applies to air passengers departing from any EU airport, or from a non-EU airport with an EU airline to an EU destination. Passengers must note that flight delay compensation is subject to certain conditions and exceptions.
There will be no compensation for a delay or cancellation caused by an extraordinary circumstance, under which such delay or cancellation becomes uncontrollable. An example of such situations includes bad weather or security concerns such as fear of a terror attack. In such situations, passengers will not be given any compensation.
Nevertheless, if there is a delay of more than 4 hours for a flight of 3500 km or more; delay of 3 hours or more in intra-community flight of 1500 km or more; and delay of 3 hours in case of flight under 1500 km, the passenger is entitled to claim compensation under EU norms as set by the Regulation. This entitlement is when the delay is not caused by extraordinary circumstances.

EC Regulation 261/2004 is a European Union Regulation, it applies to EU and Non-EU airspace. You do not have to be an EU citizen to claim flight compensation.

Air France is a French Flag Carrier headquartered at Tremblay-en-France. It was founded in 1933 with the merger of Air Orient, Air Union, Compagnie Générale Aéropostale, Compagnie Internationale de Navigation Aérienne (CIDNA), and Société Générale de Transport Aérien (SGTA).

Air France In-Flight catering services for La Premiere (First Class) menu is designed by Guy Martin, chef of Le Grand Vefour, a Michelin three-star restaurant in Paris. The menu items mostly include hors d’oeuvres, bread basket, entrees and cheeses along with a dessert cart including pastries, tartlets and petit fours.
They also serve Champagne to passengers of all classes. They also provide Audio, Video on demand for all cabins on long-haul flights and also has an In-Flight entertainment system which includes in-flight publications, videos, music and games.
On 29th May 2013, it introduced WiFi which is only available once the flight reaches 20,000 feet. Air France has its own rewarding program known as the Flying Blue for frequent fliers with Air France-KLM group. Its rewards are hugely dependent on the miles travelled and the class of service.
Membership to the program is provided for free. Air France airline has won “Most Elegant Airline of 2014” award provided by Shanghai Morning Post daily newspaper, Air France also won the award at Business travel awards and the airline has also honoured for its la première lounge by Skytrax.
