Being one of the popular airlines in Russia and in Europe doesn’t stop the flight from getting delayed or cancelled. The delay or cancellation can be for various reasons such as natural calamities like bad weather, earthquake, tsunami, or technical faults of the engine or strike or some un-imaginable incident. Now incidents which involve technical faults or strike which could have been easily handled by the airline company but failed to address it leading to the passenger’s distress is something you will have to worry about.
So what can you do?
Utair Aviation has been registered under the EU law which follows EC Regulation 261/2004, which allows a passenger to claim compensation for flight delays of more than 3 hours, cancelled without prior notice or if passengers are denied boarding due to overselling of tickets. The EU law 261/2004, allows its passenger to get up to €600 if they face inconvenience due to the flight delay, flight cancellation or overbooking. So a passenger can always contact the airlines through emails or the customer care numbers for the compensations.
